Abstract expressionism is style of painting that flourished after World War II until the early 1960s, characterized by the view that art is nonrepresentational and chiefly improvisational. My paintings are very much of an abstract nature and contemporary. Some of them take on a hypnotic and trance like quality, a somewhat meditative feel.

I have been painting in various mediums all my life and now specialize in Abstract Impressionist pastel art where the vibrancy and texture of the pastel attracts. I create my art by way of an organic process, and it tends to evolve over a period of time; this leads to every piece being individual and unique. I am greatly inspired by shape, patterns and form; all intricately linked to colour, light and texture. I truly love to create my art and feel that my spirit and love of doing translates into my pictures.
